Frequently Asked Questions:

  • How much space is required for our bars?

    Ideally a 10ft by 10ft space is ideal for one bar catering for up to 200 guests. For 200-400 guests, a 20ft by 10ft space is needed.

  • How long does it take to set up the bar?

    We will arrive at least 2 hours prior to the start of your event.

  • What hours will the bar be open?

    The bar will be open to your specified times to suit your needs. The liquor license will be tailored to your needs.

  • What type of glasses do you use?

    Cocktail Hour of Vermont proudly utilizes stylish, environmentally friendly green ware plant based plastic cups whenever possible. Stylish glassware is available for an additional fee.

  • What is a signature drink?

    It’s a unique cocktail that guests associate with your event. You can either select a signature drink that goes with your colors or something that goes with a theme. You could give your event a signature drink with a distinctive name that you come up with!

  • Can we request specific liquors or beers for our event?

    You can certainly request to adjust any package to suit your beverage needs. When you desire an event to complement your unique vision, we can help. Alternate Beer, Wine or Liquor selections may incur additional fees.

  • When is the last drink served?

    Last-call will be 45 minutes before closing. This allows guests 30 minutes to finish their drinks.

  • When is payment due?

    We require a 50% deposit to reserve the date and file the necessary liquor permits. Final payment is due after the final inventory at the end of the event.

  • Can we pay with a credit card?

    Yes, although we prefer cash or check, we do accept Master Card and Visa. A processing fee will be added to your bill.

  • Will bartenders be checking the age of guests?

    Yes. We are required by law to verify the ages of any person we feel are not of legal age (21). Bartenders are also required to refuse any person who appears to be intoxicated.

  • Can my underage children drink alcoholic beverages, with my permission?

    No, serving alcohol to a minor is a crime punishable by law. Vermont State drinking age is 21.
